The governments of Namibia and Russia have taken steps to strengthen bilateral relations in the technology sector, exploring new partnerships aimed at accelerating digital transformation and innovation.
The high-level engagement, hosted by Namibia’s Ministry of Information and Communication Technology in Windhoek, brought together senior officials and key stakeholders from both countries to chart a path for collaboration in ICT and media development.
Focus on innovation and digital growth
Namibia’s ICT Minister, Emma Theofelus, and Russia’s Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Alexander Shoitov, underscored the importance of global cooperation in advancing technology ecosystems.
Talks centred on launching joint initiatives in digital infrastructure, technological innovation, and media collaboration—areas seen as critical to boosting Namibia’s digital economy and service delivery.
