Liquid C2 has partnered with Google Cloud to unveil Africa’s first Partner Experience Centre in Johannesburg, marking a major boost for the continent’s cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem.
The cutting-edge facility is designed to equip African partners and resellers with the tools, training, and environment needed to build, test, and deploy advanced cloud and AI solutions tailored to local markets.
Bridging Africa’s digital skills gap
The centre introduces a structured onboarding programme that will guide partners toward official Google Cloud accreditation and certification, combining technical training with real-world application.
Participants will work alongside expert engineers to design bespoke solutions, which can then be commercialised through Liquid C2’s distribution network—unlocking new revenue streams and expanding market reach.
Industry stakeholders say the initiative could help address persistent challenges such as infrastructure gaps, limited technical expertise, and slow digital adoption across Africa.
Powering AI innovation and collaboration
At the heart of the facility is access to enterprise-grade technologies, including advanced AI tools like Gemini, alongside a dedicated “Gemini Playspace” for rapid experimentation.
The centre also features collaborative “solution pods” where businesses, startups, developers, and public sector players can co-create and test innovations in real-world scenarios.
This model is expected to accelerate the development of locally relevant solutions across key sectors such as:
- Financial services
- Healthcare
- Retail
Driving jobs and economic growth
Backed by Cassava Technologies, the initiative is positioned as a catalyst for job creation and digital transformation across the continent.
By expanding the pool of certified cloud and AI professionals, the centre is expected to generate new employment opportunities while strengthening Africa’s technology workforce.
“This centre creates a practical environment where organisations can explore, test, and scale solutions that deliver real business value,” said Ziaad Suleman.
Strengthening Africa’s tech ecosystem
Tara Brady described the launch as a pivotal moment for Africa’s digital future, noting that the collaboration will help democratise access to advanced AI and cloud capabilities.
Beyond training, the centre also provides financial flexibility for partners, including local currency billing and credit support, helping to reduce barriers to entry for smaller players.
A milestone for digital transformation
The Partner Experience Centre represents a significant step in building a robust, innovation-driven ecosystem that blends global technology with local expertise.
As demand for AI and cloud solutions continues to rise, the initiative is expected to play a central role in accelerating Africa’s digital transformation—empowering businesses, fostering innovation, and driving inclusive economic growth across the continent.
