The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is taking a major step toward building an inclusive digital economy with the launch of the Digital Economy Awareness and Sensitization Fora, scheduled for November 13, 2025.
The inaugural event, themed “Leaving No One Behind: Digital Assets, Equity, and Empowerment,” aims to bridge policy and infrastructure gaps while fostering collaboration among key players in Nigeria’s fast-growing digital ecosystem.
According to the NCC, the forum will serve as a strategic platform for policymakers, industry leaders, and community stakeholders to discuss frameworks for inclusive digital growth, accessibility, and affordability across the country.

The forum will explore strategies to design inclusive digital policies, deploy accessible infrastructure, and enhance digital literacy for underserved communities.
Given that Africa’s youth represent 60% of the under-25 demographic, with Nigeria contributing a significant portion, the NCC is leveraging this potential to promote digital empowerment and ensure equitable access for all citizens.
