Salesforce deepens its partnership with Google to integrate Gemini models into Agentforce 360, creating smarter, context-aware AI agents that automate workflows and enhance productivity across CRM and Google Workspace.

Salesforce and Google are strengthening their strategic partnership with the integration of Google’s Gemini AI models into Salesforce’s Agentforce 360, ushering in a new era of intelligent enterprise automation. The collaboration aims to help companies automate complex workflows, boost productivity, and deliver superior customer experiences through seamless AI-powered connections between platforms.

Uniting Salesforce and Google Workspace

The partnership connects Salesforce’s AI-driven CRM with Google Workspace apps, including Gmail, Calendar, Docs, and Meet, enabling a fluid data exchange across both ecosystems. With this integration, users can:

  • Access customer insights directly within Workspace tools.
  • Perform CRM-related actions such as updating records or tracking leads.
  • Communicate with clients without switching between applications.

This unified setup eliminates workflow friction, allowing employees to manage sales, service, and IT operations effortlessly within familiar environments.

Context-Aware Workflows Powered by Gemini

By combining Salesforce’s Agentforce 360 and Google’s Gemini Enterprise models, the integration introduces context-aware AI workflows. These workflows understand user intent and deliver real-time, relevant suggestions, helping teams act faster and smarter.

The collaboration allows Gemini models to operate within Salesforce’s Atlas Reasoning Engine, expanding the system’s ability to handle multi-step reasoning and enterprise-scale decision-making. Businesses can now deploy AI agents that blend Gemini’s analytical strength with Salesforce’s automation ecosystem.

These AI agents can:

  • Process customer service requests end-to-end.
  • Analyse large sales datasets for predictive insights.
  • Generate reports and automate follow-up tasks.

Smarter Large Action Models and Open Standards

The update enhances Salesforce’s Large Action Models (LAMs), AI systems designed to execute automated tasks such as sending emails, generating reports, or updating customer databases.

According to Silvio Savarese, Salesforce’s Chief Scientist, integrating Gemini provides the power and reliability required for enterprise-grade AI.

“The combination of Gemini’s reasoning capabilities and Salesforce’s automation ensures businesses can build more robust, dependable AI agents to manage essential operations,” Savarese noted.

The partnership also advances open AI interoperability, adding support for standards like:

  • Model Context Protocol (MCP) — for seamless context sharing between models.
  • Agent2Agent (A2A) — enabling communication between AI agents across different platforms.

These frameworks make it easier for companies using multiple AI providers to ensure cross-system collaboration and consistent performance.

Making Everyday Tools Smarter

A standout element of this partnership is embedding Agentforce 360 features directly into Google Workspace. This means employees can leverage Salesforce intelligence without leaving their daily productivity tools.

For example:

  • Agentforce Sales can automate personalised Gmail responses, qualify leads, and schedule meetings in Google Calendar.
  • Teams can update and view CRM data in Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides, using Gemini insights to enhance reporting and presentation workflows.

This tighter integration brings AI assistance to where work happens, streamlining collaboration and decision-making across organisations.

A Future of Connected, Intelligent Work

The Salesforce-Google Gemini integration marks a pivotal step toward fully connected enterprise ecosystems, where AI agents collaborate across tools, departments, and platforms. By combining Salesforce’s robust CRM infrastructure with Gemini’s generative intelligence, both companies are redefining how businesses manage relationships, data, and productivity in the age of AI.
