Cognita Group has announced the deployment of a comprehensive digital learning platform across its schools in the United Arab Emirates, as students begin the new academic term with a structured period of remote education.
The move follows guidance from national education authorities, with several Cognita schools—including Repton School Dubai, Royal Grammar School Guildford Dubai, Horizon International School, Horizon English School, Ranches Primary School, and Al Ain English Speaking School—commencing Term 3 with two weeks of online learning starting March 23.
Ensuring Learning Continuity
To support uninterrupted education, Cognita has introduced its Learning Continuity and Connection Programme, a research-driven framework designed to maintain academic progress while prioritising student wellbeing.
The programme combines live virtual classes, independent study, pre-learning activities, and personalised mentoring to create a balanced and engaging remote learning experience.
Focus on Engagement and Wellbeing
A key component of the initiative is maintaining strong interaction between students and teachers, alongside clear communication with parents. Structured daily timetables will provide consistency, while built-in flexibility accommodates different home environments and time zones.
Cognita’s enrichment division, EnrichMe, will also deliver wellbeing and activity programmes aligned with guidance from the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, supporting students’ holistic development during the remote learning period.
Tailored Approach for Younger Learners
The platform incorporates age-appropriate strategies, particularly for younger students, by reducing screen time and encouraging offline, guided activities. This approach ensures a healthier balance between digital engagement and traditional learning methods.
Strengthening Parent Support
To enhance the learning experience, Cognita is introducing dedicated online portals for parents, offering access to timetables, learning resources, communication tools, attendance tracking, and technical support.
Overall, the initiative is designed to deliver seamless education while fostering a sense of community—ensuring students remain connected, engaged, and supported throughout the online learning period.
