Callum Daniel (born 28 August 2008) is a British entrepreneur, presenter, and founder of iCodeRobots, a technology company based at Loughborough University London. His mission? To give children, regardless of background or income, access to hands-on education in robotics and future tech.
Becoming One of the UK’s Youngest CEOs
Callum became a CEO at just 7 years old, making him one of the youngest business leaders in the UK. His company, iCodeRobots, offers coding and robotics training for children and is rooted in the belief that tech education should be inclusive and accessible to all.
Early Life and Family Legacy
Callum was born in London, England, and is the only child of Dionne Daniel and Paul Daniel John-Charles. He hails from a distinguished lineage, his great-grandfather, Malcolm Daniel, served as a Senator in Antigua’s Parliament, was the first President of Antigua and Barbuda’s workers union, and the 2nd Vice President of the Caribbean Congress of Labour.
Building a Tech Platform with Social Impact
Callum’s vision for tech inclusion took shape through strategic partnerships with tech firms. These collaborations enabled free robotics and coding sessions for over 1,000 children, ensuring that kids from underserved communities could access hands-on STEM education.
During the 2020 pandemic lockdown, Callum joined a team that fundraised and produced more than 6,500 PPE visors for the healthcare sector, demonstrating his ability to apply tech and community organizing in times of need.
Championing the Future of Tech Education
In 2020, Callum was named a Change Maker at the Children’s Media Conference (CMC). He participated in conversations around how media and technology could collaborate to inspire and educate younger generations, while advocating for a diverse, future-ready workforce.
He has consistently used public speaking and media to amplify his mission:
- In 2017, he spoke at KidZania’s Kidpreneur Festival, hosting robotics workshops for aspiring young innovators.
