Temu has teamed up with Dellyman, a Lagos-based logistics startup, to strengthen its nationwide e-commerce operations. The partnership is focused on faster delivery times and increased customer confidence in cross-border e-commerce services.
This collaboration marks a significant step for Temu as it seeks to expand in Nigeria’s thriving e-commerce sector, competing with players such as Jumia. With Dellyman onboard, Temu customers across the country can expect quicker and more reliable deliveries.
Pilot Program Confirms Readiness for Scale
Ahead of the official launch, both companies conducted a pilot, during which Dellyman achieved a 95% delivery success rate, demonstrating its capability to handle large-scale e-commerce operations.
Dare Ojo-Bello, Founder and CEO of Dellyman, said that the partnership reflects the startup’s commitment to building a reliable, transparent, and tech-driven delivery infrastructure in Nigeria.
Our 95% success rate during the Temu pilot proves we are ready to support high-volume e-commerce platforms. It also shows that local startups can meet global operational standards when given the chance,” Ojo-Bello said.
Dellyman’s Tech-Driven Logistics Model
Established in 2020, Dellyman uses a technology-focused logistics approach, combining rider management, customer visibility tools, and satisfaction tracking. The platform aggregates multiple delivery providers to ensure same-day service, matching orders with nearby riders through its app, an approach similar to Uber.
Ojo-Bello explained:
“When a customer places an order, our app identifies riders close to the pickup location to guarantee fast and efficient delivery.”
Dellyman continues to invest in capacity building and improved merchant-facing solutions to enhance the experience for Temu users and other online shoppers nationwide.
Dellyman’s Growth and Role in Nigeria’s E-Commerce
The startup has steadily expanded its footprint, hitting 10,000 monthly orders in November 2025 and achieving over 300,000 cumulative deliveries. Its proven performance made it an ideal partner for Temu’s expansion in Nigeria.
Nigeria’s e-commerce market is projected to grow from $8.53 billion in 2024 to more than $14.92 billion by 2029, fueled by internet penetration, mobile-first shopping trends, and increasing adoption of Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) services.
Partnering with Temu positions Dellyman as a go-to logistics partner for international retailers looking to enter Nigeria’s fast-growing e-commerce landscape.
Benefits for Temu and Nigerian Consumers
Through this partnership, Temu aims to:
- Improve delivery speed and operational efficiency.
- Boost customer trust through reliable and timely service.
- Drive sustainable growth and higher order volumes.
- Deliver transparent, technology-enabled logistics solutions for SMEs and individual consumers.
The collaboration highlights the critical role of local tech-driven logistics startups in supporting Nigeria’s e-commerce expansion and enhancing the customer delivery experience.
