Nigerian food delivery startup Chowdeck has reached a major milestone, crossing 2 million registered users, just a year after hitting the 1 million mark. CEO and Co-founder Femi Aluko shared the news via an X post, underscoring the rapid adoption of digital food delivery services across Nigeria.
“Yesterday, @chowdeck crossed 2 million registered users! It has been a year since we reached 1 million. We’ve made tremendous progress since then,” Aluko noted.
Rapid User Growth and Operational Expansion
The achievement follows Chowdeck surpassing 1 million orders in October 2025, with daily order volumes rising from 30,000 to over 40,000, and continuing upward.
Despite operating in a highly competitive Nigerian market with cost, logistics, and infrastructure challenges, Aluko credited the growth to operational efficiency, improved customer support, and trust-building.
“Over the past year, we’ve more than doubled every aspect of our network. I’m grateful to our team, riders, customers, and partners for joining us on this journey,” he said.
From Startup to Scalable Logistics Platform
Launched in 2021, Chowdeck started as a small platform connecting customers, restaurants, and riders. Today, it operates as a comprehensive logistics network, enhancing delivery speed, user experience, and operational efficiency. The platform is on track to achieve 1 million monthly orders.
Growth has been fueled by increased smartphone adoption and rising demand for convenient meal solutions among working Nigerians.
Big Black Friday Sets New Records
Chowdeck’s Big Black Friday event demonstrated its scalability, processing N1.4 billion in transactions across Nigeria and Ghana. Key highlights include:
- 183,000+ orders delivered
