Danfoss Launches CoolTrain™ to Fast-Track Data Centre Liquid Cooling Deployment

Danfoss has unveiled CoolTrain™, a modular, pre-engineered solution designed to accelerate the deployment of liquid cooling systems in data centres, as demand surges from artificial intelligence (AI) and high-density computing workloads.

The newly launched system replaces traditional on-site assembly with a plug-and-play approach, enabling faster installation, improved reliability, and enhanced energy efficiency from day one.

Addressing Growing Cooling Demands

As AI-driven applications continue to push computing limits, liquid cooling has become essential for managing heat in modern data centres. However, conventional installation methods—often reliant on manual, on-site assembly—have introduced inefficiencies, delays, and operational risks.

Danfoss says CoolTrain™ eliminates these challenges by delivering a factory-tested subsystem that reduces deployment time and minimises the risk of leaks, contamination, and performance issues.

Plug-and-Play Efficiency

The CoolTrain™ acts as a bridge between facility cooling systems and server racks, arriving on-site pre-assembled, pressure-tested, and sealed. This “ready-to-deploy” design cuts installation time from hours to minutes per rack, significantly speeding up project timelines.

By shifting assembly to a controlled factory environment, the system ensures consistent quality and eliminates common errors associated with manual installation.

Smarter, Energy-Efficient Cooling

At the core of the solution is advanced flow management technology that automatically balances coolant distribution across server racks. This dynamic balancing reduces unnecessary pump workload, improving energy efficiency and lowering operational costs.

The system also supports digital monitoring capabilities, allowing operators to track performance metrics such as flow rates and temperatures in real time, enabling predictive maintenance and optimised cooling performance.

Built for Reliability and Scale

CoolTrain™ integrates several of Danfoss’s core technologies, including leak-resistant couplings, flexible industrial-grade hoses, and corrosion-resistant components designed for long-term operation.

With support for high-density racks and scalable configurations, the solution is built to meet the growing demands of next-generation data centres.

Supporting the Future of Data Centres

According to Moath Shanaah, Data Center Business Development Manager at Danfoss for Türkiye, the Middle East and Africa, the solution was developed to help operators deploy liquid cooling systems quickly and with confidence.

He noted that the shift to factory-assembled solutions removes uncertainty, enabling engineers to implement efficient, leak-proof systems at scale.

Now available for specification in data centre projects, CoolTrain™ positions Danfoss at the forefront of next-generation cooling technologies, as the industry transitions toward more sustainable and high-performance infrastructure.
