Google has launched Nano Banana Pro, an upgraded image creation and editing model powered by Gemini 3 Pro, aimed at giving users greater creative precision and control. With the tool now available to Nigerians, students, designers, and content creators can produce clearer visuals, design posters, build infographics, and edit photos with advanced detail.
Google says Nano Banana Pro was engineered to solve major issues seen in previous AI image generator, especially the difficulty of producing clean, readable text and handling intricate visual scenes.
Improved Text Rendering and Smarter Visuals Backed by Google Search
One of the standout enhancements in Nano Banana Pro is its ability to generate visuals based on accurate, real-time information pulled from Google Search. This enables users to create factual diagrams, recipe visuals, sports infographics, and study materials directly from verified knowledge sources.
The model also introduces stronger in-image text generation, a feature many existing systems still struggle with. This makes it ideal for producing:
- Social media creatives
- Banner designs
- School assignments
- Marketing mockups
- Corporate presentations
The result: sharper, more consistent typography across every output.
Up to 14 Reference Images for Complex Scenes
For creators managing detailed or character-heavy content, Nano Banana Pro supports up to 14 reference images in a single prompt. This helps maintain consistent faces, branding, outfits, or product styles across multiple visuals.
This upgrade benefits:
- Nigerian content creators building character series
- SMEs showcasing products from multiple angles
- Designers working on themed campaigns
- Brands ensuring stylistic consistency
Advanced Editing Controls and 4K Export Capability
The model brings high-end editing features typically found in professional design tools. Users can now:
- Change camera angles
- Switch lighting between day and night
- Adjust depth of field
- Modify focus settings
- Export their designs in 2K or 4K resolution
For Nigeria’s mobile-first creative community, these capabilities offer premium-quality output without the need for heavy desktop software.
New Verification Features for AI Transparency
To enhance transparency, Google has introduced an image verification tool within the Gemini app. Users can upload any image and check if it was created with Google AI, thanks to the invisible SynthID watermark embedded in all outputs.
Google adds that Ultra-tier subscribers will no longer see the visible Gemini watermark on images, while the invisible version remains active to ensure traceability.
Global Rollout with Full Access in Nigeria
Nano Banana Pro is now available globally. Nigerian users can access the model through:
- The Gemini app (via the “Thinking” model)
- Google Ads
- Google Slides
- Google Vids
- The Gemini API
- Vertex AI
The launch aligns with Nigeria’s growing interest in AI education and digital creativity. Google reports a sharp increase in searches for tools related to AI study assistance and AI graphic design, underscoring the country’s expanding creator economy.
