Nokia and Turkcell have successfully completed a major network upgrade project aimed at enhancing fixed broadband performance for more than three million users across Türkiye.
The initiative, launched in early 2025, introduces advanced monitoring capabilities that provide end-to-end visibility across Turkcell’s network—from core infrastructure to customers’ home connections—marking a significant step in improving service reliability and user experience.
AI-Powered Network Monitoring
At the heart of the upgrade is an AI-driven analytics system that enables real-time monitoring and proactive maintenance of Turkcell’s fixed broadband network. By identifying potential issues before they affect users, the system helps reduce service disruptions and improve overall network efficiency.
The platform processes hourly service-quality data from an estimated 15 million connected devices, allowing faster fault detection and more precise interventions.
Faster Response, Improved Customer Experience
With near real-time insights into network performance, Turkcell can now respond more quickly and accurately to service issues. This proactive approach is expected to significantly reduce outages and downtime, ultimately improving customer satisfaction.
The enhanced infrastructure also supports smoother operations, minimizing the need for customer support interactions and ensuring a more seamless broadband experience.
Built for the Future
Nokia’s solution is built on a cloud-native architecture, ensuring scalability, resilience, and readiness for future technological demands. The deployment lays the groundwork for more advanced, autonomous network operations powered by AI and data analytics.
Supporting a Digital-First Economy
As remote work, online education, and digital services continue to grow, reliable broadband connectivity has become essential. Turkcell says the upgraded network will play a critical role in supporting these evolving demands while enabling the rollout of new digital services.
Speaking on the development, V. Çağrı Güngör, Chief Technology Officer at Turkcell, said the company is focused on delivering stable, high-quality home connectivity through proactive network management.
Meanwhile, John Harrington, Executive Vice-President and Head of Europe at Nokia, noted that AI-driven analytics are transforming how telecom networks are managed, enabling earlier detection of issues and more efficient operations.
The collaboration highlights a growing shift toward intelligent, data-driven network management as telecom providers look to meet rising demand for reliable, high-speed connectivity.
