Space42 has reported solid financial and operational performance for 2025, marking a turning point as the UAE-based SpaceTech firm transitions from strategy to large-scale execution in AI-powered space infrastructure.

The company’s latest annual report highlights growing momentum across satellite connectivity, geospatial intelligence, and artificial intelligence integration, positioning Space42 as an emerging global player in the sector.

Financial Performance and Growth Pipeline

Despite describing 2025 as a transitional year, Space42 delivered strong results, recording $577 million in revenue and a normalized net profit of $79 million, representing a 14% margin.

The company also enters 2026 with a $6.5 billion backlog in contracted future revenues, signalling sustained demand for its services. Its satellite network now spans over 150 countries, reaching more than 80% of the global population.

Major Milestones in Satellite and Innovation

The year saw significant advancements in Space42’s core operations. The successful launch of the Thuraya-4 satellite expanded connectivity across Africa, Europe, and Asia, while the second phase of the Foresight Constellation strengthened its Earth observation capabilities.

In the consumer space, the company introduced Thuraya One, the world’s first Android 14 smartphone with built-in satellite connectivity, further bridging the gap between terrestrial and space-based communications.

Space42 also secured $695.5 million in financing to support the development of its next-generation Al Yah 4 and Al Yah 5 satellites, reinforcing its long-term infrastructure roadmap.

AI at the Core of Operations

Artificial intelligence remains central to Space42’s growth strategy. The company has integrated more than 50 AI models into its data workflows, improving analytics, automation, and decision-making across its services.

Its autonomous mobility programme has also shown strong progress, with driverless vehicles completing over 600,000 kilometres across 20,000 trips without any recorded accidents, highlighting advancements in smart mobility technologies.

Expanding Global Partnerships

On the international front, Space42 has strengthened collaborations with Microsoft and Esri through the Map Africa Initiative, delivering high-resolution geospatial data across 54 African countries to support infrastructure planning and development.

Looking Ahead to 2026

According to Mansoor Al Mansoori, Chairman of Space42, 2025 marked the year the company’s long-term vision began translating into tangible results.

As it moves into 2026, Space42 is focused on scaling its AI-driven capabilities, expanding its satellite infrastructure, and converting its strong project pipeline into sustained commercial growth—cementing its position as a leader in next-generation space technology.
