Zoom has announced significant updates to its Zoom Up Partner Program, unveiling a more flexible, transparent, and performance-driven model designed to empower global partners and streamline the customer experience.
According to the company, the revamped program aligns with Zoom’s next phase of growth, enabling partners to thrive in a rapidly evolving collaboration ecosystem.
“Our previous partner program served us well in the early stages, but it wasn’t built to scale with the diversity and growth of our global partner ecosystem,” said Nick Tidd, Head of Global Channel GTM at Zoom. “It limited our ability to recognize the full value our partners bring. We saw a clear need for a more flexible, transparent, and performance-driven model that enables our partners to grow with us, while making it easier for customers to find the right expertise at the right time.”
Key Updates to the Zoom Up Partner Program
Zoom’s enhanced partner program introduces new structures, evaluation systems, and recognition tools that reflect the diversity of its partner network. The goal: to make growth more attainable and collaboration more meaningful for all participants.
1. Distinct Tracks for Resale and Agency Partners
Partners will now be categorized and assessed on separate, tailored tracks, ensuring rewards and performance metrics align with each business model’s unique value and focus.
2. Flexible, Points-Based System
The company is replacing its rigid checklist approach with a dynamic points-based framework. This new structure allows partners to earn credit for activities that best support their individual growth objectives and customer impact.
3. Annual Assessment Period
An annual evaluation cycle will offer partners greater predictability and structure, helping them plan strategically and forecast performance with confidence.
4. Enhanced Partner Segmentation
Zoom is integrating the Zoom Services Certification program within Zoom Up, alongside existing Sales Competencies.
This enables better recognition of specific expertise areas and helps customers quickly identify partners best suited to their needs.
5. New Partner Program Dashboard (Coming February 2026)
A new partner dashboard, scheduled for launch in February 2026, will give partners real-time visibility into their targets, progress, and attainments. The goal is to simplify management and enhance accountability across the board.
Partner Reactions: Strong Industry Support
Early reactions from industry partners highlight optimism and appreciation for Zoom’s renewed focus on transparency and collaboration.
“We’ve built our business around Zoom’s pace of innovation, and the new Zoom Up Partner Program perfectly matches that energy,” said Matt Cowell, CRO & Co-Founder of Acceleraate. “It brings even more transparency, accountability, and momentum to how partners like us plan, deliver, and grow with Zoom.”
“I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to have a vendor listen to their partners and actually execute on pain points that have caused friction in the relationship,” added Matt Pingatore, CEO of Packet Fusion. “Leadership at Zoom is fully committed to the channel, and being part of the PAC allows our voice to be truly heard.”
Driving Long-Term Growth Through Collaboration
Zoom’s revamped partner framework reflects its ongoing investment in the global partner ecosystem. By combining flexible rewards, transparent metrics, and improved partner experience tools, Zoom aims to strengthen collaboration and accelerate growth across its global network.
The updated Zoom Up Partner Program positions the company, and its partners, for sustained success in an evolving digital communication landscape.
