Ghana has intensified efforts to strengthen its digital security framework following a high-level stakeholder workshop aimed at advancing its national cybersecurity strategy.
The session, hosted by the Cyber Security Authority Ghana in collaboration with Cyber 4.0, brought together government officials, industry leaders, and international partners in Accra.
The workshop focused on accelerating the implementation of Ghana’s National Cybersecurity Policy and Strategy (NCPS), with discussions centred on three priority areas: boosting public awareness, strengthening operational capacity, and expanding international cooperation.
Participants are expected to contribute to a comprehensive report that will outline actionable steps and measurable targets to guide future collaboration between Ghana and Italy on cybersecurity development.
Key figures at the event included Ghana’s Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George; Italy’s Ambassador to Ghana, Laura Ranalli; Director-General of the Cyber Security Authority, Divine Selease Agbeti; and Director of Cyber 4.0, Matteo Lucchetti.
Also in attendance were members of Ghana’s Joint Cybersecurity Committee and representatives from the private sector, highlighting a coordinated, multi-stakeholder approach to tackling cyber threats.
The initiative underscores Ghana’s growing reliance on global partnerships to build resilience, enhance cyber readiness, and safeguard its expanding digital economy against increasingly sophisticated threats.
