Yaqoot Partners Huawei to Upgrade BSS Infrastructure, Boost Digital Services

Yaqoot, the digital platform of Zain KSA, has entered a strategic partnership with Huawei to overhaul its Business Support Systems (BSS), in a move aimed at accelerating digital innovation and improving customer experience.

The collaboration will see Yaqoot adopt next-generation BSS solutions to strengthen its digital infrastructure, enabling a more agile operating model and faster response to shifting market demands.

According to the companies, the upgrade is expected to significantly reduce time-to-market for new products and services, while introducing greater flexibility and personalization for users. Enhanced automation and streamlined technical frameworks will also improve operational efficiency, supported by advanced analytics to drive data-led decision-making.

At the customer level, the new system will deliver deeper insights into user behavior, paving the way for hyper-personalized offerings and a more seamless digital journey. Subscribers are also expected to gain improved control over their services through a fully integrated platform designed to boost satisfaction and trust.

Executive Vice President of Strategy and Innovation at Zain KSA, Njoud bint Mohammed AlShehri, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to building a flexible, customer-centric digital ecosystem aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

She noted that the collaboration will transform how digital services are developed and delivered, strengthening innovation capabilities and responsiveness to customer needs.

On its part, Huawei highlighted its extensive experience in telecom billing and charging systems, with solutions serving billions of subscribers globally. Vice President of Huawei Software, John Zhuang, said the partnership will drive next-generation monetization and support the industry’s shift toward intelligent, AI-powered operations.

Also commenting, Huawei Saudi’s Account General Manager, Marwan Aldaamseh, emphasized the nearly two-decade partnership with Zain KSA, expressing confidence that the latest phase will unlock new opportunities for growth, innovation, and digital transformation.

The partnership underscores a broader push within the Kingdom to modernize telecom infrastructure and deliver smarter, more personalized digital services at scale.
