Liberia’s Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications reviews its National ICT Policy to boost broadband, cybersecurity, and digital inclusion, driving the country’s digital transformation.

The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications has launched a high-level dialogue with stakeholders to review and refine Liberia’s National ICT Policy, reaffirming its commitment to building a digitally empowered nation.

The session brought together government officials, industry leaders, development partners, and ICT experts to chart a new direction for Liberia’s digital ecosystem. Key focus areas included:

  • Broadband Expansion – ensuring faster, more reliable internet access nationwide.
  • Cybersecurity – strengthening resilience against digital threats.
  • Digital Inclusion – promoting equal access to technology across urban and rural communities.
  • Regulatory Frameworks – aligning Liberia’s ICT standards with global best practices.

Officials described the consultations as a vital step in advancing Liberia’s digital transformation agenda, enhancing connectivity, and laying a strong foundation for innovation and growth.

Driving Economic Growth Through ICT

Participants emphasized the role of ICT in boosting economic growth, improving public service delivery, and fostering inclusivity. By modernizing infrastructure and policies, Liberia seeks to unlock new opportunities in education, e-commerce, healthcare, and entrepreneurship.

The Ministry highlighted that this collaborative approach reflects a collective determination to build a more connected, inclusive, and prosperous digital future for Liberia.
