Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has launched an upgraded version of the Egypt Innovate platform, reinforcing the country’s push toward a knowledge-based, innovation-led economy.
The revamped platform—Egypt’s first fully integrated national digital hub for innovation and entrepreneurship—was developed by a consortium led by Entlaq, in partnership with Robusta and Kamelizer. It was unveiled at the AI Everything Middle East and Africa Summit held at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre, drawing tech leaders, policymakers, investors and delegates from more than 30 countries.
Positioned as a central digital hub, Egypt Innovate connects government initiatives with the private sector, bringing together startups, investors, universities and research institutions to strengthen Egypt’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and enhance global competitiveness. The platform currently hosts more than 81,000 registered users—spanning entrepreneurs, innovators and ecosystem supporters—backed by a core advisory network of over 20 specialized experts.
Built on an open-data model, the platform offers public access to verified information, promoting collaboration and seamless linkages between founders and support organisations. Key features include an AI-powered smart assistant to guide entrepreneurs to relevant opportunities, alongside a dynamic database showcasing business models and technological innovations to help attract local and international investment.
ITIDA said the upgraded platform is designed to accelerate the journey from idea to scalable venture, positioning Egypt as a regional technology hub. The platform also integrates a learning and development centre, offering training programmes, innovation tools, mentorship, virtual simulations and a talent-matching system aimed at boosting workforce mobility and retention.
